Clava 08

A profusion of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments at Clava near in Inverness. Two neolithic passage graves and a huge Ring Cairn each surrounded by a Bronze Age stone circle and a smaller cairn. Planted with beech trees in the late 1800s by the Victorians who interpreted the place as a druidical temple... so feels very much like a grove! Absolutely poured down on this visit - so black and white felt much more fitting. Culloden Moor is a short distance away.
